Spirit what are you to me?
what am I to you?
it raises lots of questions
and I haven't got a clue

We are 90% water
and yet i hear her say
I am a spiritual person
and I change everyday

Well I am here and will always be
until the day I die, stuck in mud
and stuck with thinking
about how I didn't try

Spirit are you alive a well
do you sit on my shoulder
do you grieve to see me cry
or just wish I was bolder?

You and I should walk awhile
hand in hand we go
you are with me in my thoughts
and I in you you know

Spirit of the human one
Spirit in the person
are you one with God my friend?
or are you just a person

A person who listened long
Long into the night
hearing all the fear and loathing
and the need for extra clothing

God came to you as a star
shineing in the sky
and when, spirit you return to Him
You tell him how we cry

We wait to go home to him
who waits until we come
and then with kindness
say the thing we dread to hear

self shrinks away and then comes back
stronger and less aloof
looking out from within
out towards another
