I don't fully understand why the premiere took place in London though. I would have thought that given the series and characters' love affair with New York, it would have been there... Anyone got any insight on this?
The premiere is supposed to be a splendid affair and while NYC is the place to be at any hour of any day... the film was probably shot in London as part of a way to 'woo' the women into doing the movie in the first place, since they were so adamant that they weren't going to do an adaptation when the series wrapped. Or, they just wanted to show off in London first and then have a second premiere in NYC at a later date.
