Description : A quintessential look into a day in my life. I'm a crazy, sexy, cool, college chick with goals, dreams, and drama. Come read what's going on in my world!
Sup, I would have made an entry sooner, but I have a cold that came out of no where and to make matter worse, the warm weather is no where to be found now that the brisk air has taken over. I mean the peblog bush outside of the breeze way entrance was nearly consumed with lima bean sized buzzing bees.. that virtually went extinct over night. Break out the gloves, scarves, and hats... its FREAKING COLD!
So yeah I have a cold that I have nursed with exactly one dose of alka seltzer and one cold tablet (taken on separate days), lots of herbal tea (including green), a bit of soup ( I went to the grocery store and mistakingingly walked out without buying more), and cherry flavored Hall's cough drops... although I didn't have a cough... which is much appreciated. I can not stand being sick, but having a cold with a cough is sheer torture lol.
I also think this cold is interfering with my sleep... I think the amount of times I've needed to blow my nose has left the back of my head sensitive to anything (except a light touch). It was hurting as I tried to fall asleep. I lay in bed for an extra 2 hours praying my brain was ok. Eventually I fell asleep... I woke up a couple of times as those needed to get out ventured to my bedroom to use the facilities. Anyway I am feeling a bit better, but now I've gotten sleepy, so off I go. I should be in touch soon, til then... keep it funky and be kind to others.
Sup, So its been more thant a month since I logged in. I've been quite busy with life. Nothing to buzz worthy to discuss. But Let me share this. The first week of September I wish my first God-Child a happy sweet-sixteen during a bash her mom and step dad gave her. I was very pleased to go. She is getting so big now. And going there was like a reunion with people I knew as a teen. WOAH. I had instant flashbacks of good times (and not so good) experiences shared with each individual I knew.
All in all the party was great. My GD changed her beautiful gowns three times. Each made her look like a black barbie princess. The hall was decorated in blues and whites and orange?!? I'm not sure where the orange came from, but overall it was nice.
During the middle part of the month, I have gotten yet another opportunity to help others and to respect others as they are. One: I was leaving from a doctor's appointment and there was a woman who appeared to be homeless (I was in the city) and she held a cardboard sign stating she was diagnosed with fatal disease and that she was hungry. I didn't have much money on me, so I went into the drugstore and purchase a soft drink and a large bag of chips for her to eat. After I paid for the goods and exited the store, I pulled the snacks from my bag and handed them to her. The woman's whole face lit up and she really did look thankful. And as I stared into her dark eyes, I could see the youthfulness in her eyes and contemplated how did she get to this stage of her life. Rather than to invade her privacy, I gave her a little wink and a wave and left.
Part duex: I came to understanding of this nerdy yet attractive young man with the desire to transform his masculine body into a woman's although he was attracted to women. It was as if I was watching something on discovery health or TLC. But no, it was just him. A young Alaskan comtemplating pre-op surgery to personify what he already felt on the inside. Deep. That's all I will say on that for now.
Some time during in late September, a friend helped me at a time I really needed it. So J, thank you for being there for me. I don't want to get into those details. It was rather happenstance, but much appreciated. And fast forward to today. I did some light cleaning and that was about it. I have been busy with my soro group ERNA. We are growing in numbers and in sisterhood. Some players just don't get it, but that's their problem and that is why they are not us.
I am looking foward to tomorrow...not to rush things, but I have a few things I want to take care of.... with that being stated. Goodnight♥
Sup, So I finally went somewhere this summer. Two weekends ago, I was invited to go to New England... if you're not familiar with the place its the upper right states of the eastern seaboard in the US. I had expected some cousins from the South to come visit, but due to a back to school shopping spree, we had to accept a raincheck. As it turned out an Aunt on my sister's side had invited my sister and I to go to New England... we humbly accepted.
I've been to New Englan before... but it had been years since I crossed Connecticut. I must concede we had a PERFECT time. We did a lot of socializing, swimming, watched a bit-o-tv, some BBQ-ing, and a ton of laughs. Including the laugh I garnered after dropping my chocolate marshmellow ice cream cone, during one of our rest stops.
Sup, So I called the agency that has Robert Pattinson as one of their talents. I finally get to the office of his publicit/agent... she wasn't in, but the assistant was! That heffer told me I couldn't get a personal interview... they don't do them.... um excuse me? I am a journalist, I just don't have a great venue to work it out. SOfem... mind if I do the interview on your behalf? I could be your american liaison? Sounds good right? I mean I'm practically staff anyway... I've been around for like two years lol!
I'm not giving up yet, I will try again... hm let me see if I dig up that number for that gal who did a piece on our blogs....
Sup, I don't have any real personal things to report other than I am growing akin to my sorority life sisters. The more we chat, the more we bond... its amazing how different we are and how far apart we are, yet we share many commonalities. I have reached several goals on this game, but I am looking forward to completing more.
Anyway I have vampires and gobblins on my mind. The new rave is the movie "Twilight" a horror-love story about Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), who falls for blood sucking Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson). I must admit, he is a cutie! I finally broke down and watched the movie. I must say I love the empathy and restraint Edward has for his teeny bopper going on 24 co-star. Some things were not as catchy, but I will recommend people to watch the flick and perhaps go see the sequal New Moon, or some title like that.
I have gobblins on my mind... thinking of the adversaries of Harry Potter.. that movie has hit the states as well. But I will hold off watching it until I can view all the others first. I heard this new installment is long and not as action packed as some would like. Despite the feedback I've been given thus far.. the previews look promising.
