fall is finally here.Created on 6 November at 15:38
Wow, I haven't blogged in so long!
I have been way too busy with university work and so forth, and a little update on that.
I am now a 'distance' learner, studying from home, so I don't have to spend thousands of pounds/dollars travelling to London every day. I also don't have to write boring essays on the history of early music, which is even better. All I do is practice my piano playing, and then the rest of the day is mine to chill out and do whatever I want to do.
I had a job interview yesterday, a local school (Trent Valley Academy) wanted a piano/vocal teacher. Three of us went for the job in the morning, and one went in the afternoon.
I went in the morning. There was myself, a woman who lived round the corner from me, and a girl who was still at school (why apply when you're at school, I don't get it?!) and then there was a person going in the afternoon.
The school was amazing. I'm slightly jealous it wasn't built before, because I would have tantrumed to go there.
I didn't get the job, even though i was told I was the more qualified of the three in the morning, I still don't know if the person in the afternoon was more qualified. (They probably were)
So I was a little disappointed.
I worked on Halloween, so I didn't get to see any trick or treaters.
The small pub where I work had lots of witches and zombies roaming around it, some of the costumes were fantastic though.
I went as Mrs Lovett- myself and Helena Boneham Carter both acquire crazy hair that won't do as it's told, so I thought she would be perfect to imitate. And I got shoved in the bar because I aparenty looked good.
One thing that did make me laugh was that my boss was only serving lite bite 'pie and chips'. And my other boss was dressed as Sweeney Todd.
All in all a great night out, even if I was working.
No fireworks over here in Yorkshire, I was left disappointed because it rained, and we didn't get any to look at.
OH, how can I forget?! I have a new puppy!! her name is Millie, and she's a three month old black labrador, (a very destructive puppy!) she will chew anything in sight- literally! and even chomped on the door stop so hard that we no longer had one.
She attempted to chew my piano's leg too but I soon put a stop to that.
The only thing she won't chomp is my duvet on my bed, which she is snuggled up on now, chomping on her 'carrot' toy.
I have been glued to a few channels on Youtube recently.
One of those is AllThatGlitters21 -this girl is my idol. She's amazing, funny, very clever (also at university) and is completely crazy. Her name is Elle Fowler and she uploads all sorts of interesting videos, check her out at:
www.youtube.com/allthatglitters21
and at
www.youtube.com/ellesglittergossip

Her sister also has a site:
www.youtube.com/juicystar07

and another one I have been hooked on is MissChevious:
www.youtube.com/MissChevious

and my all time favourite ever :

KANDEE JOHNSON. This girl is just god damn funny. I laugh out loud at her crazy videos. She dances, she bakes, she sings, and is a make up artists, and turns herself (and shows us how to turn ourselves) into our favourite characters, actors, models, etc.
Check her out at
www.youtube.com/kandeejohnson
I think. Or tap in youtube kandee johnson makeup.
Well, I think that is all I have to update you guys on.
So, how has your summer/fall been?
I'm getting in the christmassy mood :) not long now, although it isn't really xmas until the coca cola advert comes on tv!!!
happy holidays!

holiday.
Well, I'm finally back from holiday, feeling much, much better and ready to get on with whatever life throws at me!!
First up, I would like to say thankyou to sparrow121 for the lovely message!!!
Secondly, I am posting some pictures up of the Take That Circus Tour which I saw on the 17/6/09!!
<<<<<This is me leaning on the rail with my sister, at the main stage waiting for the good ol' Manchester lad's to come on and give us an absolutley phenomenal performance- which they did!!!!!!
Loved little Mark (well actually, he's my favourite, so I suppose I willl love him, lol) who unfortunatley did his lil' bop at the other end on stage B, so I was a little disappointed that I didn't get to video that, BUT, I was so close to GARY BARLOW, that I could reach out and touch his shoe!!!! and his shiny but battered Yamaha piano (see? all the top artists have them - and so do I - true performer's have excellent taste- my father still tried to persuade me into getting a Steinway, but I refused, and got my beautiful baby in stead!)
We also got a lovely surprise from Howard, who lacked behind and didn't quite squeeze into the bubble of clown's who were hiding him- I shouted HOWARD! Really loud, and he gave us a bright cheery wave before being shoved into the small group of dancers, which made my day!
Also, anybody who is a James Morrison fan, and hasn't gone to see him - I highly reccomend that you go, despite the ticket price, he is excellent live, and he really gets the crowd going.
Also, up and coming artist Garry Go was fabulous, even though I only knew one of his songs (sorry!!!) but still brill.
And if anyone can find out who the Ring Master to the Circus Tour was, I would be most grateful, because I know he is a big famous person from the television over here in the UK, but I can't quite put a name to him!!! So Bravo Take That, for once again wowing us with you're phenomenal show!!!!
*********
Also, very sad news to hear about Michael Jackson whilst I was away. He was a musical genius, an inspiration to all (even if he was a little crazy!) R.I.P Michael.X
Day in LondonCreated on 13 June at 13:21
Okay, so, I went to Madame Tussauds, and chickened out of SCREAM! because my sister and I realised that we would never really have enjoyed being tormented by live actors dressed as well known Horror characters from the top movies for an hour.
I will post some pictures up when I come back from holiday- I'm going away to Cardiff for a week, (to see Take That- EEK!!! Cannot wait for thats :D) and then I'm spending a week in Diverses (Somerset I think) so that my dad can go and see 'Stone Henge,' and we're all going to 'Long Leat' from the TV series 'Animal Park', which will be nice to see all the animals (:
So, yes, Madame Tussauds- I did have my picture taken with Johnny Depp *sighs* but he looks fake ): The Olrando Bloom one is okaay, but the best pictures that were taken of me were with Jim Carey- I will post this up, it's fricken awesome, Robin Williams (my fav movie actor), and believe it or not Stephen Speilberg- It actually looks like we're directing a film together haha! So I'll post a few when I get chance.
We also climbed up The Monument- 311 steps!! I'm so proud of myself because I thought I would never be able to climb it, but the results were brilliant, perfect views of London because it was a beautiful day. And we got a certificate to prove we've walked up one of the tallest statues in the world (: well, off to do some chores now, happy blogging (:

Tube strike in London :(Created on 9 June at 19:22
Okay, so, I have been looking forward to taking my sister to London on the train for the day, we planned to go this Thursday- 11th. We plan to go to Madame Taussauds, (waxworks.) for the day, but unfortunatley, this morning, mum poked her head around the door stating that all the tube lines are going on strike until Friday!! ): And I so wanted to go and check out the Primark on Oxford Street ); Oh well, looks like we'll be spending the day in Madame Taussauds. The fun part is going to be finding out which buss to take to get there... and actually come to think of it, the nearest bus station (for some reason I nearly typed in book shop- me thinks my shelf needs a few new novels) (:
So, yes, Thursday sounds like it's going to be heaps of fun trying to get around LDN.
I had planned on dragging her to New Look too seems as she's now decided to drag me up The Monument- IF anybody has been up this please give me a detailed warning of what to expect before I go, as I am only a 5ft tiny brunette with lil' legs ): unlike my sister who's a leggy blond and plans to go in the R.A.F. and can jog for miles.
Anyhoo, I'm off to enjoy Fish & Chips :P
Well, happy blogging,
G.
