To be, or not to be, — that is the question: — Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them? — To die, to sleep, — No more; and by a sleep to say we end The heart-ache, and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to, — 'tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep; — To sleep, perchance to dream: — ay, there's the rub; For in that sleep of death what dreams may come, When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause: there's the respect That makes calamity of so long life; For who would bear the whips and scorns of time, The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely, The pangs of despis'd love, the law's delay, The insolence of office, and the spurns That patient merit of the unworthy takes, When he himself might his quietus make With a bare bodkin? who would these fardels bear, To grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after death, — The undiscover'd country, from whose bourn No traveller returns, — puzzles the will, And makes us rather bear those ills we have Than fly to others that we know naught of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought; And enterprises of great pith and moment, With this regard, their currents turn awry, And lose the name of action.

the moon landing successCreated on 4 September at 10:30

The moon was walked 40 years ago
by Neil and Buzz and 10 men besides
Back in the desert the young graduates toiled
To make sure the wheels were oiled

The average age of 22
Ensured the venture
Good advance
Young women
only dance

The age of 22 you see
Means these young men knew
not how to fail
They laboured long
They held their breath
They sighed relief
When Neil set his foot
upon Luna

Look up tonight and see the sky
See the moon so near so far
Think of the men who went
Think of those who paid the price
To launch such a venture into space

The women who were left behind
to seek a life alone
They could not go as space was tight
and toileting was not a pretty sight

King in Dying Room Daring to DoCreated on 31 August at 13:20
When, after the outrage the king lay dying, he was in and out of that place where dragons fly and bats have tails. Outside the couriers were barking orders to the men to hurry and find the queen. Speed urgently and give this note to the queen, request that she attends the dying room without delay.

They were not to know that the queen was away with her young lover, playing in the sand, and making love whenever the fancy took them. She had not fully appreciated that the old king was fighting a battle for the kingdom, she was young when she was made to marry to the old king at her fathers request. Bringing resolution between the warring kingdoms to the left and the right of the Ice Cap. This was the last Ice Cap on the earth and as the last deposit of water it was important that the two side agreed on when and how to use the limited reserves of the precious material the water was. As it was bordered on every side it was only those who were tall enough to see the top who were able to catch a glimpse of the magnificent cap, there were pictures at every road junction to remind people of the beauty that had once been all around the ice caps, the beautiful snow and leopards, and of course the much loved polar bears, now extinct and only a distant memory for the very, very old park rangers. The kingdoms had come a long way now that the people were in the other place and had a plentiful supply of the liquid that had replaced the water. The chemist who had discovered the Water Replacement Liquid had earned the Nobel Prize during the last decade on earth. Still the last deposit of water had to be looked after and not despoiled. And now this outrage where the Lord of North had dared to sail forth without appointment and had plunged his knife into the space on the Kings helmet where the plug was sited. The plug allowed the king to know where he was and how his memories all fitted together, for the king this was total recall at any time. And now it lay broken and even affected his breathing. He was a much loved king and his men were by his side to gather him together and bring him into the travelling tent to begin the long journey home.

When at last the men found the queen in sand they were shocked to see that she was about to give birth. The birthing process had been speeded up as the old fashioned way had led to many of the people loosing touch with their minds and so the chemists had found a really interesting way to speed up the long drawn out process of having young. The queen was able to make love a few times and then wish and the body would bulge and then the baby would pop out and she would have the birthing orgasm. The baby was then scooped up and placed in the nursery and would next be seen by the moderator who would decide if it was pretty enough if it were a girl or sleek enough if it were a boy. There had been some attempts to have a mid sex baby and do away with the classification of boy/girl, but it had not yet been successful.

The courier approach the queen and talking in a low whisper said "mam, the king is wounded and the saving ointment has not worked and we are sure he will die. please come quickly and you will be able to say goodbye to him". The queen was shocked by this news and turned to her lover. He looked the other way, he would not look at her and she called his name again more urgently this time, "please look at me"! "I have to go to the king, do you understand?" He turned away. She looked back and called softly, I will be back, wait here for me!

At last they reached the dying room, the pictures were passing on the wall, all the most treasured memories of the king were being shown for the one last time. She held his hand and told him that she had enjoyed being a queen, she told him she was sorry she had not been able to be faithful to him, she told him that she would be leaving to go to the other place where the people lived, and that she would just be a person now.

The king waved her away and called for the princess and covered her hand with his, the queen looked back and saw what was lost and wailed until the dawn came. The dawn was a long time in coming and when she was an old woman she would tell people how time was not fixed in minutes and hours but in thought and feelings and when a child waits for a party the time slows down, and when a person dies time stops and sometimes it just does not start again.
Many years later she went to the sand and found her young lovers bones, he had waited for her return.
