Cate has two little boys called Dashiell John and Roman Robert (thumbs up), but unlucky for her third, who has been named Ignatius Martin. Ignatius! Ouch! Is it Latin or Biblical or what?
Halle Berry is finally a mum after a long struggle to get pregnant, congrats to them both! She called her baby girl Nahla Ariela.
My verdict: Either Halle and Gabriel (how lush is he, btw?!) named their daughter after not one but two Disney characters (Nala from the Lion King and Ariel from The Little Mermaid) or there's some other meaning I haven't heard yet - any ideas? I do like Nahla on its own though - v cute!
Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have called their twin babies Max and Emme (apparently not short for anything - short names are in!). I really like these names, and good on JLo for not giving her poor kids names like Apple or Moses. They'll never be teased, and the names sound like they could be Latino. The only problem with Max is that Christina Aguilera beat her to it only a couple of weeks ago!!
Nicole Richie and Christina Aguilera gave birth to their babies on the same day in the same hospital! Nicole called her baby girl Harlow Winter Kate Madden, and Christina called her baby boy Max Liron Bratman.
Max is a nice simple name and Liron means 'my song' or 'my joy' in Hebrew (I think Christina's husband Jordan has Jewish roots). I really like the name Max actually - classier than Sean and Jayden (giving your sons trailer trash names is not the best start in life).
Nicole Richie was always going to give her baby a fashionable name and while I think Harlow is dead cute, I think the full name Harlow Winter Kate Madden is a bit too cool for school (Harlow because iconic actresses' names from years ago like Ava and Mia are in; Winter because - apart from the obvious - seasonal names like Autumn and Summer are in and no-one has cottoned on to Winter yet; and Kate because it's also cool at the minute (Mary-Kate Olsen, Kate Bosworth, Kate Moss...who knows why!).
